Your Profile

You are a progressive and commercially astute CPA or EPA Patent Attorney with a proven background in chemical and chemistry related patent caseloads. You should possess drafting/prosecution experience with direct clients, as well as exposure to contentious areas of IP too. You will ideally have gained a minimum of 2 years PQE (private practice or in-house), and be looking to secure a new position that can further stretch your IP capabilities. Therefore, you must be comfortable in liaising with clients first hand and feel confident in advising and defending complex patent portfolios. First hand experience of handling blue-chip, SMEs and university based portfolios is highly desirable. Attorneys with a chemical engineering background will also be considered, as will finalist level qualifications.

This is a newly created appointment in a thriving close-knit team that already breeds a very healthy variety of direct client work, and challenging cases in abundance. Besides a variety of core drafting and prosecution work, there is also a considerable amount of contentious work to include oppositions and appeals. Technology includes: oil and petrochemical technologies, catalytic processes, polymers and composite materials and food chemistry.
