Your Profile

You are a part-qualified/finalist level Patent Attorney with a minimum of 3 years private practice or in-house experience having already passed the UK Foundation examinations. Your 1st Class Honours Degree background should be Chemistry or Pharmaceutical related, and you will have already gained some direct client exposure in your current role. Drafting and prosecution experience is essential for this position. Ideally you will have gained experience of working in a team-oriented IP environment as well, and your interpersonal and commercial skills exemplary. Newly qualified attorneys should be encouraged to apply.

The Role

You will be working within a very highly regarded team, reporting in at Partner level - but with such a varied client portfolio, work may also be distributed via other senior fee-earners on a case by case basis. Their range of clients is excellent - from large blue-chip global organisations to SMEs and University start-ups. There is a rare blend of technology to include Pharmaceuticals, Chemical and Chemistry related work - much of it UK originating so drafting levels are high. As you progress with your own experience, the company invest in your longer-term potential by supporting you through your Finals examinations preparation in a timely manner.
