A leading global home-appliance brand is looking for a Consumer & Market Intelligence Manager to join their team.

You will act as an internal business strategy consultant, whose role it is to ensure that consumer and market analytics and insights are the foundations of the business strategy and execution; and that the most effective research methodology is applied to answer defined business questions.

You will deliver in-depth actionable market & consumer insights and strategic recommendations to define category and market plans, develop winning propositions and optimise marketing plans.

You will be part of the Marketing Insights team and work across the various business areas within across 3 main categories and work together with the functions (Market Activation, Innovation, Consumer Experience). You will partner with the teams and represent the voice of the consumer to guide the strategies.

The Role

  • Lead on consumer research and performance tracking and act as a business partner for the category and market teams to guide the strategies.
  • Ensure that the consumer is put at the heart of what they do by bringing together all sources of consumer/customer/user feedback and distilling clear insights that ultimately lead to consumer driven innovations and a seamless consumer experience.
  • Analyse market data for generating insights/opportunities and track monthly performance of relevant businesses, monitoring key indicators including market share, pricing, distribution of GDCA brands and competition
  • Manage consumer research projects, working together with research agencies (e.g. on brand health, usage and attitudes, consumer decision journey research, segmentation, where to play).
  • Work with the business to translate this into business recommendations

The Candidate

  • Extensive market research background either agency or client-side working in a consumer research function
  • Significant experience in both qualitative and quantitative consumer research with a strong knowledge of research methodologies, including digital and social research tools
  • Demonstrable experience in analysing market data, showing the ability to synthesise large amounts of data into a story and recommendations
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to design, create and lead projects from inception to conclusion
