Do you have experience in writing longform medical content for marketing purposes?

Founded 180 years ago, this well-established medical professional membership body have been working to put their profession at the forefront of healthcare. They have an international reach with offices in the UK, Europe and the USA.

They currently seek a talented Content Marketing Executive to work within their marketing team. The main objective of this role is to increase user engagement and subsequently create leads that the sales team can convert. Their objectives are simple, to position their brands as thought leaders in their space, clearly articulate their value proposition and ultimately grow the value of accounts and general reach.

The Role

This role will encompass a mix of long and short form content, however, as this is medical content, they do require a candidate who has experience in writing longform medical/scientific content.

  • Create and deliver a content marketing plan and calendar in partnership with marketing colleagues, aligned to the marketing strategy.
  • Produce content across multiple formats including text, audio, visual, infographic, slide deck etc. for use across multiple channels, including web, email, social, video and at events. Consider desktop, mobile and face to face delivery.
  • Produce content to educate audiences at each stage of the buying cycle and afterwards with onboarding, engagement and retention activity.
  • Ensuring content produced is in line with brand guidelines and tone of voice as well as being correctly optimised through keeping up to date with the latest SEO best practice.
  • Advise marketing colleagues on opportunities to create, promote content and amplify broadcast of content e.g. social posts. Then set KPIs to measure, evaluate and optimise content performance to meet campaign and strategic objectives.

The Person

  • 3-5 years experience working in a similar content marketing role.
  • Excellent copy writing and editing skills, especially having experience in creating longform thought leadership content pieces which need to be fact checked, optimised and 100% accurate. SEO literacy is a must.
  • Ability to assimilate pertinent facts and themes from large amounts of data and technical content
  • An interest in marketing automation, specifically Pardot and experienced in using social media to engage with B2B audience
  • Knowledge of the medical industry or a clinical or scientific background
