Data Analyst.

Our client are a global events business with a focus on the technology space, they are seeking a data analyst to serve as the analytical backbone for a worldwide event ecosystem. In this position, you will act as the primary translator between complex raw data sets and practical business intelligence. Your mission is to empower leadership and operational teams by uncovering hidden patterns in a global event portfolio, transforming numbers into clear narratives that drive efficiency, space optimisation, and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Insight Generation: Move beyond basic reporting to interpret intricate data sets regarding event volumes, attendance tiers, and space utilisation. You will forecast future operational needs and identify trends that influence high-level decision-making.
• Dashboard Architecture: Design and maintain user-friendly visualisations using advanced tools. These dashboards will serve as a source for internal teams and external partners, highlighting KPIs related to performance, staffing, and operational health.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to service lines including Event Management, Production, and Client Services. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders to define data requirements, ensuring the reporting aligns perfectly with evolving business priorities.
• Operational Optimisation: Conduct deep-dive analyses into time-tracking and resource allocation to pinpoint inefficiencies. Your findings will directly inform process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Data Integrity & Governance: Ensure all reporting is consistent, accurate, and globally aligned. You will manage the integrity of the data sources, maintain comprehensive documentation, and establish best practices for data handling across the organisation.
• Presentation & Storytelling: Synthesizer complex analytical findings into compelling presentations for global stakeholders, clearly articulating the "so what" behind the numbers to drive adoption of new strategies.

Who You Are

• Experienced Analyst: You bring 5-7 years of proven experience in data analysis, specifically within a global environment, experience in an MNC or technology company is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: You possess advanced skills in SQL and are an expert in spreadsheet manipulation (Excel/Google Sheets). You are comfortable connecting disparate data sources to create a unified view.
• Visual Communicator: You have a strong portfolio of creating intuitive charts and graphs that make data accessible to non-technical audiences.
• Critical Thinker: You don't just report what happened; you ask why it happened and what it means for the future. You thrive in agile settings and are self-motivated to find better ways of working.
• Co-operative: You excel at building relationships across departments, soliciting input, and communicating complex ideas clearly to both business and technical audiences.
• Project Manager: You can juggle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
