Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

Location: London & Remote Working

A global leading research agency is now looking for a Data Engineer to join. This exciting and important role will involve developing and expanding the data architecture, building out the data flow solution and data collection setup across the business.

You will help drive data initiatives and ensure optimal data delivery architecture is dependable throughout projects. This is an autonomous position where you will be given the responsibility to re-design and optimise the company's data architecture.

For this role you will need experience in cloud computing/cloud structure, the ability to design and build data infrastructure, and relish the chance to work across multiple teams both nationally and globally.

About the role

• Develop and optimise data pipeline architecture, construct complex data sets that meet business requirements, build infrastructure required for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources (such as SQL and Apache data technologies).
• Creation of data tools for analytics and data scientists, assist in building and optimising products and ensuring greater functionality of data systems.
• Allow the automation of manual processes, optimise data delivery, re-design infrastructure to guarantee greater scalability.

About you

• Strong proven experience with cloud services and computing, building and optimisation of 'big data' pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL with other tools being a big plus such as Mongo DP, GCP, Python and AWS or Google cloud.
• Desire to act in an advisory capacity and build out a global function, working closely with a range of senior stakeholders across the entire business.
• Self-starter who has the capability to look at best solutions and make best recommendations.
• Building processes to support data transformation/structures, metadata, and workloads.
