Are you looking to manage a team of high performing sales people, working across a portfolio of must-attend b2b events within the sporting sector?

The company is a leading event business, servicing a global network of senior executives in sports business and performance worldwide. Their events are exclusive, invitation only and target only the senior decision makers in the world of sport. With conferences spanning the globe, including locations such as Los Angeles, Chicago and London, they incorporate several high-level platforms as well as a series of specific networking opportunities, that make them the must attend international sporting events in the calendar. As Delegate Sales Manager your role will be split to 75% management of a successful delegate and membership sales team and 25% hands on sales. With the opportunity to lead and mentor a skilled sales team, travel to fantastic global events and work within a company that has a buzzing and exciting culture - this could be the role for you!

The Role

  • Sales planning & sales targets - setting and achieving targets for your team, ensuring a clear sales strategy for every product line.
  • Performance management - updating and reviewing individual KPI's, ensuring team are motivated and incentivised and that targets are clear.
  • Coaching & recruitment - regular training of the sales team to ensure a high standard is consistent.
  • Lead sourcing and sales support - ensuring fair distribution and management of all incoming enquiries.
  • Actively selling delegate and membership packages to C-level people within the sports industry.

The Person

  • Your solid experience managing an event sales team will allow you to effectively produce a sales strategy and guide your team to successfully hit event sales targets.
  • Solid delegate/membership sales experience will ensure you can lead from the front and comfortably contribute to your team's revenue target.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to consultatively engage and lead decision makers and your team - including challenging, overcoming objections, creating solutions and driving urgency and actions.
  • An avid interest of the sports sector will ensure you are passionate about your product and can effectively engage clients.
