The Role:

  • Responsible for reporting/writing exclusives, trends and developments in the tax industry to provide engaging, informative content for subscribers
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with senior figures in the industry both over the phone, face to face and in interviews
  • Attend, report on, chair and moderate at external events
  • Writing both breaking news stories and long form articles and features for print and online
  • Editing and sub-editing copy produced by Reporters
  • Support and work closely with the Managing Editor in the production of print and online products
  • Work closely with the managing editor in expanding areas of coverage and tracking engagement with content

The Person

  • Excellent researching, interviewing and writing skills of breaking news and features and articles
  • A strong grasp of Google Analytics and able to adapt content based on its findings
  • Eagerness to travel internationally throughout the year.
  • Comfortable networker and able to build a strong contact base
  • Experience and ability to commission articles
  • Strong news-gathering skills, a keen eye for a story and a desire to beat competitors to delivering exclusive content, unique insight, features and analyses
  • Innovative approach to delivering content and engaging with existing and potential subscribers
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial journalism
