This role is perfect for someone with strong digital editing skills and a background working in the corporate, B2B, or legal sectors.

The Job:

To take the lead on editing and uploading content (text, film and audio) for the website, ensuring accuracy and consistency, and to oversee social media accounts. There will also be an opportunity to attend and report on remote and live events, filming and editing the content for website publishing.

There are three main focuses to this role:

1. Copy Editing and Proof Reading
2. Video and Podcast Editing
3. Pushing out Social Media Content

Responsibilities:

Text/website

• Copyediting, proofreading and summarising of text for use on the website and accounts elsewhere (e.g. video-hosting sites)
• Editorial responsibility for maintaining web pages (primarily content-related pages) to ensure they provide up-to-date and consistent information for use by the association's various audiences, including members, prospective members, the public, the media, industry organisations among others, in accordance with style guide
• Overall management of committee pages and liaison with representatives of committees
• Oversight of transcripts for interviews and events as necessary
• Overseeing procedure of getting flagship magazine online and related web content, such as news analysis articles

Film

• Editing and uploading film for use across the website and managing the offering of film content including interviews, events, short documentary and informational packages, using Adobe software
• Oversight of Vimeo and YouTube accounts
• Occasional filming of interviews and events
• Using the Audioboom site as the audio media host

Social media

• Oversight of the social media presence on Twitter, Facebook, including regular posting and managing notifications

General

• Collaborating with other team members and staff more widely
• Working closely with the web designers within the production team
• Working closely with the website's Content Management System
• Contributing to updating of house style
• Logging relevant projects on a weekly editorial update spreadsheet
• Dealing with queries from other departments, members and the general public

Skills & Experience:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Film/audio editing, copy editing, writing for the web qualifications
• Two to three years' editorial experience in a multimedia publishing environment, ideally coming from a legal or corporate background
• Strong web writing and editing skills
• Proven experience of using Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects, Audition, InDesign and Photoshop
• Content Management System experience
• Familiarity with Twitter and Facebook, preferably in a professional setting
