Your Profile

You are a progressive finalist or newly qualified patent attorney (CPA or EPA) looking to move into a fast-track position in one of the very best firms in London. You possess a first-class honours degree background in electronic engineering, IT or software and are competent at handling a range of 'high tech' patent portfolios with a strong emphasis on telecommunications standards. You must possess genuine drive and determination to exceed expectations in the IP profession, and take pride in the quality of service and commercial advice you offer clients. Essentially, you are looking to stretch yourself professionally and be rewarded for it. Written or spoken Mandarin would be advantageous, but not essential.

The Role

A brand new position, this role will enable the successful attorney to gain increased exposure to some truly pioneering portfolios with pivotal blue-chip clients on a global scale. You will enjoy considerable responsibility and autonomy for a significant portfolio of clients, with genuine scope for inventor contact and new business development also. Attorneys in this firm are exposed to much more variety of work than other traditional practices, as case-loads cascade from a variety of Partners, so you can expect both a high quality and a high volume of challenging cases to get your teeth stuck into. Exposure to advocacy work is also available for those who wish to gain experience of litigation and dispute resolution.

The Company

Regarded as a truly modern and progressive practice with a proud heritage, this firm will attract those attorneys who crave to work in an open environment where the culture breeds commercial success, whilst stretching your IP capabilities. Their growth has been both organic and strategic as individuals take pride in striving for a collaborative, yet commercial approach to clients - ensuring the output and quality of work is first class without chargeable billing pressures. The opportunities for future growth are well starred as you would be joining a practice that invests in the longevity of its employees. If you are looking for a firm to raise your profile in the sector then this is your chance to excel.
