Your Profile

You are a highly progressive and motivated part-qualified (minimum 2 years experience) or finalist level Patent Attorney with a proven background in either engineering, materials science or electronics related technology. You will ideally be looking to qualify as a CPA and/or EPA in 2018, and have experience of core drafting and prosecution. You should have a proven background in direct (local) client drafting, and some previous experience of contentious work would be advantageous although not essential. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for IP.

The Role

This is an expanding office in Birmingham and you will be joining a team that operates as a technology group within the practice including qualified and non qualified fee-earners from similar backgrounds to your own. You can look forward to an immediate caseload of varied and challenging work from an impressive UK portfolio as well as technology from overseas agents to complement the group's work-flow. This is a role that would suit a part-qualified technical assistant who is looking to work in a open and meritocratic environment, where the scope to advance professionally is genuinely achievable.
