Event Marketing Assistant/Intern

£19,000 Pro rata

This is a high-impact role within a fast-paced and innovative media, intelligence and events business. You will be responsible for assisting the respective marketing managers in delivering exciting recognition/awards events and conferences worldwide through excellent marketing strategy and execution. Your role on the events team is to bring a solid marketing and admin support in order to deliver the audiences for successful events.

This position reports to the marketing department, specifically the Senior Marketing Manager, Awards & Recognition and Senior Marketing Manager, Conferences.


  • Assist respective marketing managers in delivering on full marketing mix commitments for all recognition and awards events including writing social media posts to drive engagement
  • Collaborate across the organisation to ensure the success and maximum exposure of assigned event and creatively find new ways to attract the right audiences to events
  • Collaborate with the design team to help with the branding of the event, create collateral such as flyers, sponsorship prospectus's, banners
  • Consistently raise the bar on copy quality and visual imagery, ensuring that all communications deliver clear, concise, impactful messages that drive award nominations, table sales, and audience engagement
  • Attend some of the conferences & award shows to help on-site


  • Educated to degree level, with some experience in B2B marketing preferable
  • You must possess the desire and energy to win in the market and to achieve our goals. This position has direct accountability for the success of the event and requires an individual who enjoys the challenge
  • Strong written communications skills - able to write persuasive email copy and web copy and social copy without substantial editing requirements.
  • Strong team-building skills. You will work in a matrixed organisation and need to be able to work across functional lines, while also partnering with the core marketing team
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate creative strategy and develop marketing materials using our
