An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events Marketing Executive, to join a thriving conference company in central London.
This role will be working in a busy marketing team, supporting one of the events divisions to promote, their annual schedule of events and drive new delegates to their live and virtual conferences.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working with events team to research outside marketing as well as in house campaigns to find best channels to market
- To look at new marketing channels such as Social Media
- Write copy for premail, mainmail, re-mail stages of campaigns. (DM, fax, email)
- Make targeted internal data selections for premail, mainmail and remail stages of campaign utilising all data available in house
- Source new and relevant data where necessary
- Contact all potential marketing partners to set up contract deals - trade associations, newsletters, magazines, websites etc
- Build relationships with long term media partners and enhance existing agreements
- To work with sponsors in order to promote conferences wherever possible
- Maintain contact with suppliers and monitor work in progress (printers, mail house, couriers)
- Manage print runs through to delivery
- Manage mailings from delivery through to land dates
- Write and send press releases for each campaign to ensure maximum PR coverage.
Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience of marketing for conferences and events
- Demonstrable experience of working on a variety of marketing channels
- Qualification in marketing ideal but not necessary
