£35000 - £45000 per annum + Additional OTE

The Company

Our client is one of the world's fastest growing and award winning exhibition businesses with an impressive portfolio of events in the technology and marketing sectors. They are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join the team to sell on a well-established series of events which attract over 100,000 delegates.

The Role

A fantastic position has arisen for a Sales Manager to sell sponsorship and exhibition space on one of the clients flagship events based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for working in a team of highly talented sales professionals, whilst maximising all potential revenue to achieve/exceed targets on their designated shows. They will be expected to build strong relationships with senior industry figures and manage key partnerships.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver exhibition and sponsorship sales revenue
  • Develop New Business through the show cycle
  • Provide timely and accurate sales reports and forecasts
  • Liaise with industry and professional organisations to leverage communication and partnership agreements
  • Attend competitor events
  • Develop our content proposition by working with exhibitors and sponsors to get their customers to speak in our programme
  • Extract additional sponsorship revenue from retained clients

The Person

The successful Sales Manager will have the following:

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Mastered the craft skill of organising large scale events
  • Understanding of the value of large scale events and the benefits to all stakeholder
  • Good questioning and listening skills
  • Ability and confidence to build relationships
  • Ability to create urgency and close business
  • Ability to write sales proposals
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and able to use a contact management system
  • Keen to learn and become involved with the tech industry
