Are you an experienced content lead ready to take the next step to Head of Content?

App based sports start-up are in search for a highly creative and multifaceted Head of Content to deliver the strategy of the brand and content. You will be instrumental in shaping the brand's image across all platforms and will be responsible for overseeing and creating outstanding content on a daily basis. Their vision is to form the next phase in publishing and to create a completely new way of keeping up with your favourite sport stars and celebrities. They are backed by a large international company and are offering up to £85K for this role. Fully remote for the time being with flexible working.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Create and establish the editorial mission, vision, voice and strategy for the agency and each individual application.
  • Generate editorial ideas and the overall editorial approach (both aggregated content and that which they create), planning the editorial output for several months ahead of time, including but not limited to the big overarching themes and ideas, sub themes, evergreen and timely content, daily posts and promotional content.
  • Oversee the planning and production of all content including shoots, external contributors, and internal teams.
  • Working with the CEO and brand partnerships team to ensure branded content with partners and sponsors is incorporated in the editorial output.
  • Opportunity to build a team and be instrumental in the recruitment process.

Skills and Experience:

  • A highly creative with the ability to understand consumer trends and motivators to create engaging content that is continually innovating and able to translate the ideas into digital content.
  • Ideally coming from a sports marketing background / having a keen interest in sports.
  • Able to strategize across all digital platforms and multimedia assets.
  • Proven experience making data led decisions to optimise content offering.
  • Strong leadership qualities and an ability to identify new opportunities and growth areas within the content approach.
  • Spanish and Portuguese language a bonus, but not crucial
