Mechanical Engineering Patent Attorney - CPA or EPA

£Competitive package + excellent benefits

Have you been looking for something different, perhaps somewhat unique for your next move? Are you attracted to building a team and contributing to an exciting long-term project?

The Role

An exciting new role for a pragmatic and driven qualified Patent Attorney to join a new Intellectual Property team.

This is a rare opportunity to be a key part of a fast-growing Intellectual Property team within a Legal 500 law firm. The role will involve providing practical IP advice to a broad portfolio of clients. The role is likely to include work on the full spectrum of intellectual property rights in the first instance and becoming increasingly technically specialised as the department grows.

This new role may suit most technical backgrounds, although it should be emphasised that a grounding in mechanical and low-tech applications will be an advantage; as one would expect, the successful candidate must be willing and able to learn quickly about new, often unfamiliar, technologies.

The focus is primarily on drafting and prosecution of patent applications, but experience in other fields of IP law, especially trademarks, will be useful.

Applications for the position will be considered on either a full-time or part-time basis.

The Person

You will be a fully qualified European and/or Chartered Patent Attorney (EPA/CPA) with the aptitude and commercial acumen to assist in driving the new IP department forward.

You will have the ability to think strategically and will be passionate to deliver succinct, high quality advice with excellent client and team communication skills.

The ideal candidate will also have an eye for detail, work with high levels of accuracy and possess the ability to work under pressure, prioritising effectively.

The Company

This hugely reputable Legal 500 recognised firm has a strong focus on their clients, employees and business partners, differentiating themselves from their competition by understanding that every business is different.

They pride themselves on long-standing community relationships, as well as investing strongly in training and development of staff at all levels of experience. Their culture is inclusive, supportive and commercially astute, so you'll be working alongside like-minded peers who share these values.

If you think you possess the necessary requirements for this specific role, then get in touch immediately!
