The Person

You are a part-qualified patent attorney with proven IP experience derived from mechanical engineering related cases. Your experience may derive from either private practice or industry, but you will have accumulated proven drafting and prosecution experience, as well as contentious cases in the form of oppositions and appeal work. You must also have an excellent track record of liaising with clients face-to-face, as well as marketing a portfolio of clients too.

A commercial and proactive aptitude to working in a modern practice is sought after, so you should possess the business acumen and professional wherewithal to influence decision makers at all levels. You should be progressive in your career, welcome new challenged and enjoy working within a team.

The Role

The opportunity to work with a growing range of corporate blue-chip and SME patent clients is immediate, with direct client contact especially encouraged and nurtured. This newly created position will be key to the strategic direction of both the firm and the group as a whole as you will be joining a team where cases can be assigned from up to five partners.
