News and Multimedia Journalist.

The client is a market-leading B2B and B2C publisher with over 35 years experience delivering solutions to the mortgage and personal finance markets. The company provides a knowledge hub for both the mortgage industry and consumer personal finance markets.

They have a portfolio of brands, one of which is a multi- award winning brand that prides itself on its exclusives, analytical approach to investigative news and multi-media output.

This brand is now looking to hire for a News and Multimedia Journalist to work in a team of 4 to help source and write news stories for the brand.

The role offers full training in film and video hosting as well as live event reporting and welcomes journalist who have solid social media skills who are ready to learn more and take the lead across editorial projects when the role demands.

This is a full time permanent opportunity, offering flexible working, and a salary up to £45K

Responsibilities:

• Source and write news stories.
• Write up press releases in the house style.
• Prioritise stories and daily task in order to meeting deadline set by the Editor.
• Attend conferences and report from the events.
• Establish relationships with a view to sourcing original stories.
• Play an active role in writing for the web, social media and on occasions video content

The Person

• At least 1-2 years journalism experience preferably within a B2B Finance environment
• Willingness to help/take on tasks assigned by the editor at all times.
• Inexhaustible hunger for exclusives.
• Punctual and well organised at all times including good diary organisation, awareness of and full responsibility for own travel arrangements.
