Patent Attorney - Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering

Part Qualified/Newly Qualified

£Highly competitive + package

Your Profile

A superb opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified/newly qualified patent attorney with 2/3 years experience of direct client patent portfolio management within the Physics, Computer Science and Electronics sectors. You will have already maintained first-class client relationships and must be adept at exploiting IP opportunities to their full commercial potential.

Your experience can derive from either private practice, law firms or industry, but you should possess core experience of drafting and prosecution, and exposure to contentious/litigious areas of IP would be advantageous. You'll be used to working in a quality-driven culture, whilst maintaining the very highest levels of technical competency for your clients. Applicants with a Masters or PhD in a relevant field are encouraged to apply.

The Role

This is a key appointment in the current team, and can afford the flexibility of being based in London, Sheffield or Glasgow. It should easily appeal to those patent attorneys who want to gain more exposure to contentious/litigious work, as well as relishing the chance to promote outstanding service to exciting, pioneering clients to include SMEs, Universities and global technology brands.

If you have made the conscious decision to leave the relative comfort zone of private practice and flex your IP talents in a more rewarding professional environment, then this position promises to reward from the outset.

The successful attorney will be rewarded with a highly competitive package (above private practice rates) coupled with the professional satisfaction you would expect from a position at this level.

There is a substantial level of high quality work to immerse yourself in, so you must be self-managing as well as a team player.

The Company

This progressive, financially robust international firm is widely recognised for its modern and innovative approach to client management. Employees are encouraged to take ownership of their own portfolios and also look to further expand their respective number of clients.

The firm is extremely well regarded for internal progression in the sector, as patent attorneys work in a meritocratic environment that breeds success in a collaborative and team-oriented culture.

If you want to join a fantastic team with impeccable credentials, and you think you can bring something extra to the table, then 2020 could be still be your year.
