The Role

You will be working across a variety of social research areas, including welfare, employment, health and wellbeing.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for leading and delivering of projects, working closely with your clients and ensuring that timelines are met and budgets are adhered to. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with the existing client base, encouraging repeat business.

As Research Director you will be an expert in Evaluation research - and an advocate for this area within the team and the wider business.

Key Duties

• Working closely with the Head of the Department to help ensuring delivery of targets and winning new business
• Overseeing and taking responsibility for project teams and project work, to ensure that the brief objectives are met to time and cost
• Be an expert and advocate within the business in evaluation research, providing advice and guidance when required
• Managing and mentoring more junior team members, helping them to progress in their careers
• Working closely with the Head of Department to build out the team and offering, including attending networking events, conferences etc

Skills & Experience

• You will be an experienced Research Director, able to demonstrate expertise in Evaluation work
• You will be comfortable working with both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
• You will have worked in social and public sector research previously, with the ability to lead on projects from a senior level, providing guidance and leadership to those around you
• Ability to support and develop teams, helping them with their career progression
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with people of all levels
