The Company
Industry body for the private equity and venture capital industry, is seeking a Research Manager to join their insight team. Based in a great central London location, they have modern offices, a professional and friendly workforce and excellent progression opportunities.

The in-house research team provides essential analysis and insights on the private equity and venture capitalist industry and they seek to build an overall picture of the sector in the UK. Along with survey data, they also provide consultative insights on the industry.

The Role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders in the sector, and is ideal for someone who is looking for a career in research within a trade body organisation. You will be reporting to the Research Director and will be focused on the following key areas:-
- Managing the annual quantitative survey, the data collection, bench-marking and the process to deliver the annual report
- Detailed analysis of data, pulling out key trends and findings, presenting these to the internal stakeholders
- Managing data requests from others in the organisation
- Managing and assisting the Director on a range of research projects, from drafting proposals, methodology design, overseeing the research surveys, analysis to report back these findings
- Keeping up with the industry trends and significant changes in market
- Writing thought leadership and content pieces for publication
The Candidate
Candidates who have a combination of strong data handling skills and primary research, will find this role appealing. Your interest in economics and public affairs, with the ability to share insights in a tangible manner, will also work well for you.

- Degree in economics or business management
- Strong experience working in a financial services function, with a wide breadth of primary research methodological experience
- Strong understanding and exposure to quantitative and qualitative methods
- Strong data and analytic capabilities, with the ability to disseminate large datasets accurately
- Attention to detail, organisational skills and strong project management experience will be pivotal in the success of this role
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport and manage relationships with senior stakeholders
