The Company

This media agency focus on creating award-winning bespoke campaigns for clients which create real impact with audiences and are built for platform, designed for distribution. This role sits within their specialist unit within this focusing on bespoke social strategy and creative campaigns for a wide range of Global brands.

They are looking for an experienced Social Media Account Director to work in the specialist Social team. The chosen candidate will lead on at least one major social client account, driving social strategy for that client, managing the client, delivering results and profitable growth. The role will also have an element pitching in, and delivery of projects throughout the year, and the management of those responsible for delivering the project alongside you.

You will have line management range from 2-5 people and you will report into the Head of Social. They are looking for someone who has a strong grounding in all aspects of social media, who has a commanding knowledge of the platforms, best practice and social media content production.

The Role

  • Lead overall delivery of Social Media presence, campaigns and content for key clients.
  • Developing integrated Social strategies as well as quarterly Social Media roadmaps for clients that deliver against their business objectives.
  • Lead client account management and ensure high client satisfaction levels are achieved
  • Articulate and develop the role for Social Media in our clients marketing mix
  • Keep abreast of developments in Social and develop new client solutions
  • Manage profit and loss on core accounts and look for opportunities to work with other specialist services within the Group
  • Support the Heads of Social Media and Social Content with hitting department income targets by increasing client spend and pitching for new business
  • Develop the skills and capabilities of direct reports and the wider team, ensuring appraisals and training is identified and completed
  • Contribute to thought pieces both internally and externally - POV docs, blogs, white papers, conferences and steering groups

  • Prior management of a Social Media or Content focussed account
  • Experience of managing a team, motivating individuals and developing them professionally
  • Content production management and social content development experience
  • The ability to develop social strategy, rooted in insights
  • The ability to create measurement frameworks for social media
