Are you looking to find a modern, agile practice firm to take your career to the next level?

The Company

This private practice firm take a forward-thinking approach to IP. They use the latest technologies and systems, so agile working is something wholly supported. Each employee has their own phone and laptop which allows for a working from home policy. As Software Patent Attorney, a high concentration of your work will be direct client work. Attorneys here put client care at the centre of their operation and have a diverse portfolio across a range of cutting-edge high tech and software technologies. Their open plan offices encourage a strong working culture, with attorneys working in conjunction with one another. They also have paperless systems, so this organisation suits an attorney who genuinely is looking for a modern way of working in a supportive, collaborative environment.

The Role

* You will be working with a diverse range of high-tech clients across a range of software, AI, blockchain and digital technologies.
* Attorneys are encouraged to get involved in BD and Marketing projects where possible which will make you feel comfortable liaising with a range of stakeholders
* There is a healthy mix of direct client work and foreign associate work on offer, so attorneys can expect a mixed workload
* If you have a keen interest in litigation work, then they have a thriving contentious practice where attorneys work closely with the litigation team
* Working closely with senior associates/partners, you will be given the opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of tasks

The Person

* You must have completed your foundation papers (or be exempt) with a minimum of 18 months experience in the profession. Ideally, you will be approaching qualification or recently qualified (CPA and/or EPA)
* You will feel a sense of pride in completing work to the highest standards, so a driven personality will ensure clients are managed effectively
* You will have some experience of working with clients and you will be able to build strong relationship with new and existing clients within a short space of time
* You will have established core drafting and prosecution skills, as well as experience in contentious matters of IP

*Opportunities exist in London, Leeds and Cardiff.
