The Client

The company is a very well established, highly respected and creative, digital-facing organisation who offer bespoke media solutions for clients in the technology and financial services sectors.

This is not a telephone-based role where sales are generated through cold calling. You will be liaising with clients over the phone and via email but the majority of your relationship-building will be conducted face to face.

You will be supported throughout your career and have the opportunity to undertake internal and external training courses and have on the job training.

They are also based in a fantastic Central London location where you will have access to numerous retail discounts!

They are looking for a Sponsorship Account Manager with a good track record of account management and business development to sell sponsorship across a portfolio of UK forums, conferences, summits and awards in the financial services sector. The role will be very client-facing and will require a very consultative sales approach which is achieved through intelligent questioning, understanding your client's needs and having a deep understanding of the product offerings that match their requirements.

You will be required to attend meetings daily, events weekly and to have the motivation, hunger and drive to become an industry expert which will, in turn, help you hit and exceed your targets.

The role

  • To take responsibility for maximising your own sales results in conjunction with your manager.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts will help to nurture future sales and encourage sales growth.
  • Analysing and researching potential client relationship to develop a pipeline of business
  • To present/meet with clients and travel to a variety of London locations
  • Full utilisation of the Sales Force CRM to produce accurate prospect lists and pipelines.
  • To be aware of the importance of the market share and yield for both your brand and your own client base.

The Person

  • A proven track record in B2B sales will enable you to support the sales team by managing existing accounts and bringing on new business.
  • Excellent communication skills will help to engage with senior clients.
  • Previous experience in identifying sales opportunities and developing relationships at a senior level will benefit you in this role.
