Are you a determined self-starter looking to progress your sales career with excellent growth opportunities and great earning potential?

A market leading, Global Conference and Event organisers based in the heart of London are looking for a professional and experienced Sponsorship Sales Manager to work on either their Defence Portfolio. You will have the benefit of inheriting already established accounts having a mix of account management and new business within the role.

You will be using highly consultative sales techniques to sell high value Event Sponsorship packages to key solutions providers within the Defence industry for the various conferences they host globally. You will also have the opportunity to attend these events cementing relationships further with your clients.

You shall be joining a hugely successful growing portfolio as well as enjoying an incredibly lucrative commission structure.

The role

  • Proactively sourcing, approaching and selling to high level executives from leading companies using your industry knowledge to become a trusted advisor to new and existing events sponsors
  • Monitoring, prioritising and reporting sales and opportunities to ensure that targets are being met and business opportunities are being exposed
  • You will be responsible for nurturing your clients, up-selling them to increase spend, managing the relationship and ensuring repeat business
  • You will consistently strive to achieve and exceed financial targets to benefit from a lucrative commission scheme and other incentives
  • Liaise with production, marketing, sales and event management as well as externally with clients to deliver a consistent message for each event
  • Travelling globally to attend the conferences and events in order to network with your sponsors and maintain sponsor relationships on-site

The Person

  • Experience preferably working in Sponsorship or Delegate sales within in the Events industry
  • Demonstrating a strong aptitude for researching and presenting ideas, and excellent written communication skills
  • Evidence of strong selling technique and understanding of the sales process
  • Ability to manage time, prioritise workload and meet multiple deadlines
  • Confident and assured in person and on the telephone
  • Able to express ideas verbally and in writing
  • Tenacious and determined in achieving objectives
  • A strong commercial instinct
