The Role

An exciting new role for a pragmatic and driven qualified Chartered Trade Mark Attorney to join a new Intellectual Property team.

This is a rare opportunity to be a key part of a fast-growing Intellectual Property team within a Legal 500 law firm. The role will involve providing practical IP advice to a broad portfolio of clients. The role is likely to include work on the full spectrum of intellectual property rights in the first instance and becoming increasingly technically specialised as the department grows.

You will be involved in both domestic and international filings as well as the prosecuting and monitoring of trade marks, along with opposition and cancellation work. You will ideally have some experience of drafting license agreements.

The firm can provide you with a varied and nourishing diet of contentious and non-contentious work, with some unusually high-profile clients. The mixture of corporate and private client work will serve to harness and develop your written and oral communication skills.

This role may suit a newly-qualified Trade Mark Attorney, or more experienced professionals. Applications for the position will be considered on either a full-time or part-time basis.

The Person

You are a fully qualified Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, possessing an aptitude for business development, and a willingness to utilise your commercial acumen to assist in driving the new IP department forward.

You will have the ability to think strategically and will be passionate to deliver succinct, high quality advice with excellent client and team communication skills.

The ideal candidate will also have an eye for detail, work with high levels of accuracy and possess the ability to work under pressure, prioritising client requirements effectively.
