UX/UI Designer.

A qualified UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for transforming the news news and community site and their related services.

What you will do:
* Optimise existing experiences to sustain user engagement
* Create lo-fi wireframes and high-fidelity designs
* Create digital prototypes for testing
* Develop and apply a universal design system
* Take responsibility for communication and planning design activities
* Closely collaborate with both developers and commercial teams
* Be a champion for new design methodologies and practices
* Create and review design specifications for developers

What they are looking for:
* Experience of designing user centred experiences, with an outstanding digital portfolio showing examples of your work and processes.
* Deep understanding of key UI/UX principles, processes and methodologies
* Experience of creating and contributing to digital design libraries
* Demonstrate the ability to understand complex technical digital concepts, and present them as simple design solutions
* A broad range of skills covering the design process end-to-end: interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
* The ability to work closely with a team and other designers in defining, designing, and iterating on product features across web and mobile platforms, and with dev teams to support integration, enhancement, and compliance with the design system
* Someone who can take insights and learnings from research and analytics teams to steer future designs and services
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate your thinking and design decisions, and take people on the journey with you.

What you need to bring

* Commercial experience working as a UX/UI Designer
* Excellent problem-solving abilities
* An ability to work cross-collaboratively to understand and interpret requirements
* Solid information, interaction, and experience design skills.
* The ability to work on several projects at any one time and autonomously manage own workload effectively
* Experience of fluid layouts and Responsive Web Design
* Knowledge of digital design authoring tools specifically Adobe XD
* Strong interaction design skills, and an aptitude for visual design.
* An outstanding eye for design and typography
