Web Developer

My client is a software and services company delivering Competence Management Software, primarily to the Railway industry both within the UK and internationally.

They design, build and host systems and services which, in combination with complementary training and consulting, provide train operating companies with the visibility of their competence-related data allowing them to better assess risk, manage incidents, and target spending accordingly.

Alongside their competence management system, their learning, and development offers training and mentoring for a range of roles within the railway industry such as Assessment, Verification, Incident Management, and Instructing.

Role
The objective of the Web Developer role is primarily to assist in the technical development of their competence management system.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Attend regular code reviews.
• Design and develop high-quality JavaScript (ECMAScript) code for safety critical systems.
• Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle.
• Write well-designed, efficient code.
• Implement customer requirements as requested through our ticketing system.
• Understand requirements and implications on a system-wide basis.
• Manage expectations and work to deadlines.
• Communicate progress regularly and efficiently to the head of development.

Location

• £50,000 - £70,000
