The role:

As an Academic Researcher, you will look after:

• Conduct in-depth research by reading and analysing relevant academic literature, books, and resources for each country covered in the book.
• Prepare detailed verbal and written briefings summarising the findings from your research.
• Distil complex information into clear and concise points, contributing to the overall narrative of the book.
• Provide well-founded recommendations based on your research insights.
• Identify and suggest relevant subjects for potential interviews that will enhance the book's content.
• Collaborate with the author and fellow researchers to ensure alignment with the project's objectives.

Your Profile:

• Strong academic background with a first-class degree in a relevant field such as social science, politics, international relations, history, or a related discipline.
• Excellent research skills and the ability to synthesise large volumes of information effectively.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to prepare comprehensive briefings and recommendations.
• Attention to detail and a critical eye for accuracy in information gathering and analysis.
• Enthusiasm for the subject matter and a passion for contributing to the creation of a meaningful book.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing your own work schedule.
• Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools and remote work practices.

Salary & Benefits

As well as the day rate of between £125 - £225 depending on experience, as an Academic Researcher, you will be able to closely collaborate with an Author who is a leading mind in their field. The role will operate a truly flexible approach to work, being led preclinically by Deliverables, and you will be able to work remotely, with occasional meetings in London.
