Content Director.

The client is a digital media company with the aim to become a dominant force in online lead generation globally.

They create market-leading content experiences across a portfolio of brand assets - fuelled by high-performance digital marketing & enabled by powerful tech.

They are now looking for a Content Director for a brand new position within the company to take ownership of the content strategy and function.

Reporting directly into the CEO, you will be tasked establishing a fast-paced multimodal content operation. You'll ensure that all content informs, entertains and converts audiences of multiple brands across industry verticals.

You will also be focused on setting the content vision & strategy, while mentoring and motivating a growing team to deliver results.

This is a full time permanent opportunity, paying up to £80k plus hybrid working and option for full remote working. (Offices by Aldgate Tube Station)

Responsibilities

• Build a competitive content portfolio to produce engaging content, driving business growth
• Train, mentor and upskill a team of 5 direct reports
• Set long term vision for content within the business, including budgets and investment allocation into content
• Work closely with fellow management team members including in SEO, Commercial and Technology to maximise content impact
• Deliver results using various content types, including commercial landing pages, news & opinion, PR-led campaigns, expert interviews, guides & resources.
• Define & deliver international growth strategies across English and non-English speaking markets
• Champion the importance of overall content experience, shaping content journeys with the user in mind.

The Person

• Ideally 5-8 years' experience within a content management, copywriting or SEO position.

• Recent experience in a similar content leadership role
• Passion for great content & using it to grow a business
• Deep understanding of how SEO affects all aspects of web content
• Proof of results achieved in multiple competitive sectors
• Many years of overall experience in digital content, including different types of industry, format and objective
