The client is a market-leading B2B and B2C publisher with over 35 years experience delivering solutions to the mortgage and personal finance markets.

The company provides a knowledge hub for both the mortgage industry and consumer personal finance markets and boast both B2B Mortgage events 50-60 events per year plus 4 publications 2 B2B and 2 B2C

They are now looking to recruit a Digital Sub-Editor to join the editorial team.

You will be responsible for the subbing and publishing of all editorial content across the business.

This will include content delivered daily via the four key websites and brand newsletters, overseeing content delivered as part of the event conference programmes, and content generated on behalf of clients on a bespoke basis.

A major part of the role will be ensuring market-leading position is maintained, ensuring content is delivered with the requisite quality, governance, and SEO optimisation to grow the engagement of the client's content.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity, offering up to £35k basic salary plus hybrid working (3 days a week in office and 2 days WFH)

Responsibilities:

• Participating in editorial meetings.
• Writing copy for publication, if necessary.
• Sub-editing colleague, freelance or contributed content across our B2B and B2C sites
• Responsibility for proofreading procedures and edit copy when necessary.
• Responsibility for evaluating copy to comply with policies, style, accuracy, and tone, and checking that all work meets publishing standards.
• Ensuring all copy is SEO optimised.
• Keeping up to date with changes in Google's SEO algorithms.
• Monitoring Google Analytics and other tools to understand content effectiveness.
• Controlling schedules and enforcing deadlines (for editorial and wider team members (freelancers etc.) as needed)

The Person:

• The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a successful sub-editor.
• Exceptional proofing and sub-editing ability.
• Accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Working knowledge of online platforms like WordPress.
• Excellent knowledge of SEO concepts. Knowledge of Yoast SEO is an advantage.
