Through continued growth across the UK, they are expanding their, Operations team further by recruiting an Director of Operations with the office being based in Beaconsfield.

The Role

As an Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of our operational processes. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of supply chain management and logistics, inventory control, managing data entry and order processing, all of which are essential in delivering exceptional service to their customers and driving the growth of our online retail business.

As an Director of Operations, you will be responsible for,

• Inventory Management
• Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimising overstock and 'never' running out of stock.
• Order Fulfilment
• Work with our fulfilment partner to manage end-to-end order processing, including order receipt, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure orders are processed accurately, on time, and meet quality standards.
• Vendor and Supplier Coordination
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely product deliveries and address supply chain issues.
• Work with COO to negotiate terms, pricing, and agreements with vendors to optimise cost and quality.
• Logistics and Shipping
• Coordinate and optimise shipping and logistic operations to minimise cost and delivery times, whilst managing carrier and courier relationships.
• Quality Control
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to guarantee the integrity and condition of products through the supply chain.
• Data Process Improvement
• Continuously identify operational inefficiencies and develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and rescue costs through streamlined data entry and system management.
• Customer Service Support
• Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer inquiries, resolve order-related issued, and ensure customer satisfaction.

As an Director of Operations, you will be;

• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address operational challenges.
• Communication:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various teams, senior leadership, and external partners.
• Process improvement: Experience in identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements.
• Logistics Management:Proficiency in inventory control, knowledge of logistics and shipping operations, streamlining the day-to-day repeatable tasks into scalable processes.
• Data Analysis: Data analysis skills to extract actionable insights from operational data.
• Proficient in utilising data to make informed decisions and drive process improvements.
• Process Optimisation: Continuous focus on optimising operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Proven track record of implementing process improvements in a retail setting.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including warehouse, sales, and customer service. Strong communication skills for seamless coordination across department.

As an Director of Operations, you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain, business, or a related field (preferred not mandatory).
• Proven experience in an operational role, preferable in the eCommerce or retail industry.
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Collaborative, passionate, always looking to explore new ideas to help the business grow and enjoy creating a fun working environment for yourself and the team.

Company Benefits: This role will be paying from £40,000 to £50,000 based on experience, the company also offer a fantastic benefits packages including 33 days holiday allowance, employer pension contribution, company bonus and shares scheme, significant staff discounts for family & friends, plus a fun and quirky office space in Beaconsfield.

Please note this role would prefer employees to work in office 5 days a week, however there is room for flexibility, (4 days in office 1 WFH)
