Head of Marketing - Mission-Driven Tech Events

Location: Berlin (Hybrid - 3 days per week in office)
Salary: €60,000 - €65,000 + Equity

We're working with a fast-growing tech business with a start up events arm, focused on accelerating European tech sovereignty. Their inaugural event brought together 1,500+ leaders across technology, cybersecurity, investment, and government - and this is just the beginning.

As they prepare to scale their brand and impact, they're seeking a Head of Marketing to take ownership of the full marketing function, helping grow their events, elevate the brand, and engage key communities across tech, VC, policy, and innovation.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership role for a marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You'll work closely with founders, commercial leads, and content teams to build and execute a strategy that drives visibility, audience growth, and revenue.

You'll also play a key role in shaping the brand's voice and positioning as a credible, influential player in the European tech ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the end-to-end marketing strategy across digital, content, brand, and events

• Drive delegate acquisition, community engagement, and brand awareness

• Manage marketing campaigns across email, social, partnerships, media, and PR

• Build and scale a recognisable and mission-aligned brand in the European tech space

• Lead campaign performance tracking, reporting, and optimisation

• Collaborate with sales and content teams to align messaging and maximise commercial impact

• Hire and manage freelancers, agencies, and future marketing team members

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in marketing within the tech or events sector (or both)

• Strong understanding of B2B marketing, ideally in fast-growth or mission-led environments

• Confident across performance marketing, content strategy, and brand building

• Highly organised and self-driven, with the ability to lead while executing

• Experience working on events of 1,000+ attendees is a strong advantage

• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin (3 days per week in office required)
