The Company
This private practice firm take a forward-thinking approach to IP. They use the latest technologies and systems, so agile working has always been wholly supported. Each employee has their own phone and laptop which allows a working from home flexible policy. Working in the Biotechnology sector, a high concentration of your cases will be direct client work.
Patent Attorneys here put client care at the centre of their operation and have a diverse portfolio across a range of Biotechnology and Life Sciences technologies. They also have paperless systems, so this organisation suits an attorney who genuinely is looking for a modern way of working in a supportive environment.
The Role
* You will genuinely enjoy working with clients of all sizes from large blue chips to smaller start ups.
* Attorneys are encouraged to get involved in marketing/BD projects where possible and you will feel comfortable liaising with a range of stakeholders. Sectors will include; antibody and vaccine technology, gene therapies, regenerative medicines, bioarrays, nutraceuticals and biopolymers.
* They have a high concentration of direct client work in oppose to traditional agency/prosecution work, so this would suit an attorney who is looking for a position in a client facing environment
* They can offer a great range of work and are busy across the electronics team, so you will be able to hit the ground running
The Person
* Being CPA and/or EPA qualified, you will be looking for your next step in a progressive practice firm that offers genuine progression prospects. A background in biochemistry or related life sciences discipline, will be advantageous.
* You will feel a sense of pride in completing work to the highest standards, so caseload efficiency will ensure clients are managed effectively
* A keen interest in litigation and contentious work is preferred, as they have a thriving litigation arm who work closely with attorneys
* You will have established core drafting and prosecution skills, as well as experience in contentious matters of IP
* You will already have worked with a range of clients, so you will be able to build strong relationships with new and existing clients from the offset
