Medical Journalist.

Our client, a leading events and insight provider that services the medical devices industry, are looking to bring an Medical Journalist into their London based Content team.

This is an opportunity to get involved in writing and editing for a large number of publications across both digital and print. You'll have the chance for international travel, as well as working for a well established publisher that delivers top notch, practice changing news and education to medical communities.

This is a full time permanent opportunity, based in their London office, offering salaries of up to £35K.

Responsibilities:

• Writing, editing and commissioning content, organising layout and sending quarterly medical newspapers to print
• Preparation of articles for publication
• Writing, copyediting and proofreading text for sense, consistency, spelling, grammar and house style
• Supporting the work of other editors, making decisions on editorial content and ordering and commissioning relevant articles
• Managing and editing fortnightly e-newsletters
• Updating websites and social media channels on a regular basis
• Liaising with the advertising sales department to generate content leads

The person:

• Previous experience as a working journalist/editor in a publishing environment is a must (Journalism degree/training is a huge bonus)
• Candidates should be confident with using MS Word, Excel, InDesign and Photoshop
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A keen interest in medical news, paired with a love for the fast-paced and challenging environment of a growing and innovative media company
