Our client focuses on delivering high quality content to an audience of over 100 million and works with some of the biggest brands in the world from Oreo to Disney! This is a golden opportunity to work in a fast-paced team dedicated to bringing in the day's top news and entertainment stories across their flagship brand.

Our client is looking for a News Editor to source and write engaging articles that will be shared via social media channels as well as helping to monitor traffic, highlights, and record trends. You will also be expected to source and produce your own exclusive stories; whilst also assisting the Head of Editorial with various tasks.

Please note the role will be based remotely, with the option to work in office. You will also be expected to work weekend shifts, as well as work out-of-hours shifts.

The role is paying up to £32,000k

Responsibilities

• Write engaging articles
• Source and produce your own exclusive stories and interviews.
• Lead shifts and on some occasions manage the writing team.
• Proof- reading content before it goes live and making sure it meets house style.
• Assist the Head of Editorial when needed.

The Person

• Ideally the successful applicant will have a Bachelor's Degree in a English Literature/Journalism qualification.
• Between 2-3 years previous experience working for a online publication or newspaper.
• A strong knowledge of social media and Facebook Creator Studio
