PR Journalist.

Our client are a global membership organisation with a strong reputation and influence function. They are looking for a PR Journalist to join their Communications team at their London Head Office.

This is an opportunity to generate proactive media coverage to enhance the organisation's reputation, contribute to team projects and support the running of the media office.

This is a full time permanent opportunity, which is offering hybrid working (2 days a week in their London office) and a salary of up to £35K.

Responsibilities:

• Draft news releases, comments, articles and briefing as required
• Lead on specific portfolio areas to identify proactive news stories, promote spokespeople and draft reactive lines
• Advise on media handling, as well as identify opportunities and tactics
• Manage delivery of campaign content to the media

The Person:

• Experience in media relations or journalism
• Strong writing skills, with the ability to draft news releases, comments, articles and briefings for different audiences
• Experienced in developing media relations plans and preparing effectively for key pieces
• Ability to generate proactive coverage as well as being skilled responding to reactive and negative stories.
