The Role

This is a brand new role, and has the capacity to be a career-defining appointment for the right person. It is a unique position that commands a varied skill set of expertise and knowledge, and will be pivotal in the strategic development of existing and future clients. You will be working closely with a lead partner in the blockchain and cryptography field, and you'll also be entrusted with building and nurturing close relationships with a global technical team.

- Hands on relationship with R&D and inventors

- Exposure to cyber security, blockchain and similar pioneering technology

- Drafting, prosecution and Opposition work immediately available.


The Person

- You are a Part Qualified/Finalist level Patent Attorney with a Computer Science or Software background (first degree or PhD level) currently working in private practice, law firm or an in-house IP department.

- A background in computer science, software or mathematics.

- You should have a proven background in handling direct clients, and you should particularly enjoy inventor/R&D relationship building.

- As well as having a track record of patent portfolio management in your current role you must also be able to demonstrate an ability to think strategically, as this role requires someone who relishes client development.

- You should possess an appetite to broaden your level of expertise, with a natural gravitas to persuade and influence others.
