Role: Business Development Manager (Sponsorship) - Tech and Telecoms
Pay: £50K + 20% uncapped Comms
Hybrid: 3 days office based London hybrid

Overview:

Take the lead on this newly created role (due to company growth), in a high-value sponsorships and exhibition sales for one of Europe's biggest affordable housing events. Work with major corporate sponsors in the tech and telecoms space.

You will join an organisation of 200+ people, working under a driven and supportive Sales Leader who has a drive for growth. This role with optimise an extensive client list from other events and approach with a thoughlt leadership and consultative manner to cross sell. You will have some account management but have a core focus on net new business.

The ideal candidate will be a more seasoned sponsorship expert, who has great tenure, at least 3+ years in their current role. You will be working for as well known or leading events/media company and have a commercial mindset focused on purpose and not just sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales efforts for sponsorships and exhibition space with a commercial and holistic view on sales
  • Develop relationships with major corporate clients, government officials and financial institutions,
  • Work closely with a team of 5 to grow the housing and homes portfolio.
  • Expand the event's reach into new client areas and markets.
  • Commercially aware and astute with gravitas and a growth mindset.

Key Requirements:

  • 7-8 years of experience in sponsorship or event sales with a well-known media or events company.
  • Good tenure proving sales expansion over a 3 year sales cycle
  • Proven ability to manage high-value accounts and close strategic deals.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in exhibitions, thought leadership, and speaker-led events.
