Event Manager
West London/hybrid
Up to £35k
You'll generally work normal office hours in the lead up to an event, but may need to work extra hours, including evenings and weekends,
closer to the event.
Our client is specialise in creating educational and interactive conferences and forums across Europe, Middle East and Asia through timely and specific content with 15 events per year.
They do develop and deliver strategic informational programmes through training courses, conferences and forums aimed at tightly targeted audiences across highly regulated industries.
Duties:
* liaise with clients to find out their exact event requirements
* produce detailed proposals for events (including time-lines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
* manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel)
* liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicise and promote the event
* manage all pre-event planning, organising guest speakers and delegate packs
Requirements:
* At least 3-5 years + experience of working in the events industry
* Experience in virtual events a must
* negotiation skills when looking for the best price from venues, suppliers and contractors
* time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure to ensure the efficient running of an event
* project management experience
* the ability to manage budgets
