Research Director - Energy & Environmental Sustainability.

This research agency, a leader in social and public sector research, is looking for a Research Director to join their Energy and Environmental Sustainability team to strengthen at a senior level and to help steer future project work. As we move towards a low-carbon economy, this team works closely with their clients, providing them with essential insights to help inform environmental policy decision to support sustainable businesses.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established team, where you will be responsible for leading and delivering on key projects. Work is a mix of evaluation, quantitative and qualitative research, working with a range of policy makers, business leaders and members of the public. As a Research Director you will be a pivotal person in the business and will be attending board meetings and helping to drive overall performance of the division.

Key Duties Include:-

- Working closely with your clients to ensure projects are delivered to time and budget
- Leading and supporting with new business proposals
- Leading projects across evaluation, quantitative and qualitative areas
- Working with the senior director to achieve growth goals and key business objectives
- Managing team members, enabling their growth and development
- Overall responsibility for project management, client relationship building and promoting the culture and business internally

The Candidate

- The successful candidate will have a strong background in the energy and environmental sector, ideally having worked within social research either in a research agency or clientside
- You will be well-versed in quantitative and qualitative research methods, with strong evaluation research experience
- You will have experience in leading and managing teams, helping them to develop and grow
- Experience in leading on research projects from proposals and pitches through to reporting and presenting will be essential to the role
- You will be able to demonstrate your passion and understanding of the sector and will be looking to find a role where you can use this to help with the future growth and development of this area in a highly successful company
