Research Director - Social Housing.

The Client
Based in a fantastic London location, the client has very modern and open plan offices, with a great view and a vibrant office environment. They are currently working from home and will offer future agile working. They are extremely successful in social and public sector research, and are now looking to grow out the housing offering. There is an established team in place and they now need someone to head up the team.

This is a very exciting time to join, as they enter this growth phase. This role will suit an experienced research professional who has worked in this space and is looking to help drive forward future business success.

The Role
In the role, you will be working across a range of housing projects, from proposal writing through to reporting and presenting results to clients. You will be responsible for overseeing the team delivering the day-to-day running of these projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and to budget, and that they meet the brief. Your role will be to spearhead the offering, build up strong client relationships, develop the team and to deliver high quality insights.

Projects are largely quantitative in nature, although there is an opportunity to get involved in qualitative research to further understand the research results. You will have the opportunity to work on projects that will make a difference - looking at the challenges that people face around affordable housing and quality of living.

Key Duties Include:-
- Overall responsibility for the team P&L
- Responding to briefs and writing proposals, and attending pitch meetings
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Designing bespoke ad hoc research projects, that will answer the client's questions and managing the team on the delivery of the trackers
- Signing off project materials
- Overseeing the teams throughout the project life-cycle, to ensure they are on track and making any necessary adjustments
- Adding value and insight to the reports and presentations
- Presenting to actionable insights to clients
- Working with the team members to help develop their skills and deliver high quality outputs to clients
- Working with the Board Directors to create a vision for the team and a strategy around developing and on boarding clients, as well as growing existing accounts

The Candidate
- Educated to degree level, with a strong quantitative research background with experience working in social and public sector research in housing
- Qualitative experience would be a bonus
- Experience in customer satisfaction or tenant satisfaction research projects
- Experience in housing policy and housing service delivery would be an advantage
- Ability to confidently deliver pitches, proposals and presentations
- Proven track record in both ad hoc and tracking projects
- Proven track record of managing and developing people
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build up strong client relationships
