Telesales Executive

£24-27K basic, £35K+ OTE year one

South West London

The Company:

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for a leading consumer digital advertising platform as part of their media sales team. I can guarantee that you will know who this business is and you will almost certainly have used their services! Based in South West London, this international player in the media space has developed a reputation for delivering best-in-class service for its clients and training and development opportunities for its staff. Reporting into the Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include new business sales and lead generation, selling advertising solutions into brands both large and small. This media sales role will involve establishing a rapport with your clients, uncover their needs using probing and consultative questioning and then pitching to them an appropriate product and service. Your business will make its revenue, you will make your commission and your client gets its needs met. It's a win-win-win!

The Role:

  • As media sales executive you will focus on supporting the continued growth of the business through proactively selling advertising within the car trade and motor industry: day to day the role will be:
  • Outbound calling to a list of hot leads; businesses that want to hire but aren't sure about how to get the best return on investment. Uncovering their needs, understanding their aims and pitching an appropriate advertising solution
  • Converting all inbound leads to sales and making money for yourself and the business
  • Getting clients excited about digital advertising and selling this solution to businesses in the recruitment and HR industry
  • Consultative in the sell and presenting the best possible package to your clients that will fulfil their needs
  • Contacting lapsed clients to re-sell subscriptions

The Candidate:

  • Any prior sales experience will be considered. You could come from telesales, event sales, door to door/direct marketing, media sales, estate agency, car sales, recruitment or working on a market stall. It makes no difference. The skills are the same and you will get to flex them every day in this job
  • You must be resilient - not every call will result in a sale and you won't sell every day but you must not become discouraged - every no is one closer to a yes!
  • Target driven. You will be given sales targets to hit every week and achieving these will result in more money, promotions and opportunities
  • An excellent communicator. Can you build rapport and engage people in conversation? If so, that's exactly the quality my client is looking for
  • Excellent communicator doesn't mean talking the ears off people. In addition to being a talker, you must also be a listener. If you aren't listening to what your clients are saying, you won't be able to solve the challenges that they face
