Brief overview of role
A newly created global comms role at a fast-moving international events business. You'll shape and embed a unified corporate narrative, connect internal teams through clear messaging, and position comms as a strategic function at the centre of the business.
Top priorities
Finalise and roll out a refreshed corporate narrative, tone of voice and visual identity
Build visibility and trust in the comms function with key internal stakeholders
Deliver structured internal and external comms that support culture and alignment
Key responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of a global corporate communications strategy
Translate business strategy into compelling, clear messaging for internal and external audiences
Manage internal communication channels including email, intranet, town halls and Slack
Craft executive communications, including speeches, video scripts and leadership updates
Ensure consistency in messaging, tone and visual identity across all platforms and departments
Provide communication support during organisational changes, announcements or issues management
Collaborate with HR, marketing and leadership teams to drive employee engagement
Monitor and measure communication effectiveness and adapt strategies as needed
Work with external partners or agencies when required
Key requirements
Proven experience in corporate communications within a fast-paced, matrixed environment
Background in events, media, publishing or similar industries preferred
Excellent writing and storytelling skills across different formats and audiences
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
Confident operating independently in a standalone or centralised comms function
Experience managing internal comms across global teams and time zones
Familiarity with crisis comms, change comms and executive-level messaging
Comfortable with digital communication platforms such as websites, social media, intranets and collaboration tools like Slack or Teams
Agile, proactive, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
