I am looking for an experienced event sales professional to join a global events and travel management specialist as a Business Development Manager.

You will drive strategic sales, position and sell high-value event solutions. This role is all about cultivating opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering measurable growth in both existing and new accounts.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the full sales cycle - from prospecting and lead generation to pitching, negotiating, and closing.
  • Proactively develop a high-quality pipeline in line with business targets.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for new business.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms to achieve commercial goals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to grow brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with the global sales and account management teams to share leads and drive company-wide growth.
  • Partner with Marketing to support campaigns, promotions, and brand activations.
  • Keep CRM systems up to date to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven success in business development within the events industry (travel experience a plus).
  • In-depth understanding of the events market and competitive landscape.
  • Skilled in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and experienced in managing pipelines effectively.
  • Strong communicator, negotiator, and relationship-builder with commercial acumen.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree-level education in a related field (or equivalent experience).
