Q2 report 2022
Help guide.

To understand how certain factors such as Cost of Living and the UK political landscape are affecting the jobs market this year, Aspire researched the attitudes, motivations, and opinions of over 500 candidates held in Q2 of 2022. This report shares the findings, highlighting the key trends (measured against Q1) driving the world of work and offers important insight for employers and candidates.

Despite inflation hitting a 40-year high in May, for 45.5% of candidates, it’s been more than 12 months since they last received a pay rise.

The challenge for employers, though, is to gauge how they can absorb or pass on the rapidly increasing costs of people and energy. Meanwhile, employees are understandably seeking salary rises in line with inflation, simply to cope with soaring costs. Naturally, if they don’t receive this from their employer, they will likely change jobs to get it.
