The facts:
There are more than a million current vacancies in the UK, according to the latest ONS data.
Less than a quarter (23.5%) of pay rises awarded in the last year matched the rate of inflation.
Over three-quarters (77.4%) of candidates have applied for other jobs while in their current roles, and almost two-thirds of them (62%) have interviewed for another position.
